Bel-Fries was created in collaboration with Crème and Brand X as the preeminent Belgian fry experience in New York City.  Conceived as an essentially outdoor street food experience pre- pandemic, Bel-Fries opened within months of the Covid 19 lockdown to welcoming crowds of customers looking for an all-weather outdoor dining experiences at affordable prices. The compact storefront space was originally designed with a specially heated and cooled canopy that extends over the street in order to provide year-round comfort.

This hybrid kiosk/indoor/outdoor restaurant has won awards for its ingenious integration of architecture, graphic design and branding. The small space provided an opportunity to leverage curb appeal through the elegant and highly efficient integration of signage, canopy, countertop and streetscape. From a distance, customers are attracted to the crowds on the street, upon arrival, they are delighted to find that people are enjoying fries from pivoting dining counters that roll right out on the street, and that the well-conceived flow means that wait times are short despite the crowds.

Located in Manhattan’s up and coming culinary destination of the Lower East Side, Bel-Fries brings exceptional and sophisticated flavors to everyone’s favorite junk food, with a seasonal menu of sauces and spuds that can be enjoyed year-round.
